ABOUT THIS VIDEO
This one was a rollercoaster. I built a sit/stand lifting desk, but didn't want to just slap a desktop on top of the legs. So I decided to build a base that covered the lifting mechanism, and transforms with the desk as it lifts up!

A river table...without a river
Просмотров 487 тыс.Год назад
ABOUT THIS VIDEO In this video I'm building a new dining table using a massive Claro Walnut Slab. I wanted to try my own version of a river table, which let's be honest, isn't really a river table. And I wanted to make a table that would look just as good without a slab top, but looks even more awesome with the slab top. And I have to say, I think I nailed it on this one. Complicated...But Fancy

In this video, I'm building a fancy pantry for my wife (and my kid and me) to hold our food. And since I can't keep anything simple these days, I had to overcomplicate it and make things interesting. I also had fun figuring out how to use plywood, while doing as little as possible to conceal that it's in fact plywood. Sounds a little confusing, just watch the video and you'll see what 'm talkin...

ABOUT THIS VIDEO This was a fun and extremely challenging build! And it makes sense that I made more mistakes building this than probably any other piece I have made in the past. I tried a lot of new things like using PSA veneer, using our vacuum bag to make a bent lamination, and some new push-to-open drawer slides! On top of that, there are all sorts of cool brass details to finish it off. Ho...

i'd want that desk! But since I'm nowhere near SoCal, I don't want to enter your giveaway :) I liked this video - I have always liked your content, and presentation wasn't dramatically "wrong" before except if it didn't work for you! Change it up how you like, because if you're not enthused with producing the vids, you won't keep us enthused to come back and look.

Great vid..very helpful.... Although I don't think you're mentioned...how to deduct for the drawer height, which is usually just an inch smaller than the opening. For these particular slides, and you did mention tha wifth..althoughI. Usually deduct an i1_ 5/8 from the overall width of the opening. Which accommodates 3/8 of an inch on each side of the drawbacks to the cabinets... But I did learn a lot and like you. R. Drawbox construction and also I liked how you spoke about the adjustments, which I was not completely aware of

Looks amazing, really like the cable management. Did you consider a monitor arm? It may free up space and help hide cables even better. It would be awesome to make it a standing desk too, only the top side, of course but no idea how to hide the cables.

it looks quite nice in black if i may say so .. the dark wood panels also contrast well with it .. the only thing i would probably had done differently would be some rollers on the side of the table and a rotating joint to the cabinet providing the option to slide the entire desk over the cabinet to get the ability to move everything to the side and out of the way .. the entire design of this table just lends itself to do that already.
